MY Polymers Ltd. is a manufacturer of low refractive index optical adhesives and coating materials.

The company offers a series of materials with the lowest available refractive index on the market. These products have a refractive index of 1.33 which is also a matching refractive index to that of water.

One of these products, MY-133 is being used in industrial applications since 2003. Other versions with the same or similar low refractive index are also offered with different viscosities and different mechanical characteristics.

The newest addition and the lowest refractive index on our list is MY-132 It has an RI of 1.320 in the cured state at the near IR (0.9-1.0 micron).

Most of our products are 100% solids UV curable resins but some are also made as single component moisture curable compositions. Typical of this series is MY-133MC. A new MY-132MC is a moisture cured coating with even lower RI of n=1.32.

The UV resins are more adapt for quick curing and for deep curing. The moisture cured resins are more suitable for coating applications and especially for thin coatings and also where good adhesion is critical.

Our low RI optical adhesives are used for encapsulation, adhesion and cladding in various photonics applications, including: fiber lasers pump combiners, couplers, optical fiber connectors, light guides, fiber recoating and more.
Our MY-133 and MY-133MC with the refractive index similar to water enables unique new applications in bio-photonics, including Micro-fluidic devices (Lab on Chip), bio-sensors and microscopy.

MY Polymers also offers other products that cover the whole range of RI from 1.32 to 1.49. Some of these products and particularly the products in the range of 1.46-1.47 are made to match the RI of optical materials such as glass and fused silica and are characterized with very high strength and very strong adhesion to both glass and plastics.
